Introduction
Both basic and applied biomedical research have an increasing demand for modern interdisciplinary approaches. The Master's program in Molecular Biotechnology at the University of Torino innovatively meets these challenges by combining the fields of Molecular Biology, Molecular Imaging and Drug Discovery, and Bioinformatics. The interdisciplinary character of the program allows students to specialize according to their interests and prepares them for a scientific career in one of the many branches of Life Sciences.
The main focus of this program is on practical experience, which the students gain during several internships. Students spend most of their formative curriculum attending the experimental work in a research laboratory that may lead to scientific publications. Lectures and seminars offered by the University of Torino are part of the formative track.
The Master's program in Molecular Biotechnology is aimed at graduate students (from such fields as biotechnology, biology, chemistry, pharmacy) with a strong background in cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, inorganic and organic chemistry, and biochemistry. This Master's is open to students of the BioHealth Computing EM program (EU Master) coming from worldwide.

Scholarships and Funding
Our aim is to empower talented and motivated students to thrive in a world-class academic environment, while building a future beyond borders! For this reason, at the University of Torino international students can choose among a variety of scholarships, depending on the type of program and applicant profile.
Two key opportunities are open to students of all degree programs and academic level:
- EDISU Piemonte Scholarships: EDISU Piemonte, the Regional Agency for the Right to Education in Piedmont, offers scholarships based on both academic merit and financial need. These can help cover tuition fees, housing, and living costs for students enrolled at the University of Turin.
- MAECI Scholarships: The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) provides scholarships for international students and Italian citizens living abroad. These grants support study, research, and training in Italy and are available for all academic levels at institutions like the University of Turin.
- The Talents 4 UniTo scholarships are a unique opportunity available only for applicants to the degree program in Molecular Biotechnology. This merit-based initiative is designed to attract highly motivated and talented international students by offering financial support to help cover their living expenses during their studies in Turin. The selection is based on academic excellence and the strength of the applicant’s profile.
