Key Summary
European Legal Studies is an innovative post-graduate Master's Programme in advanced European, international and transnational legal studies that is taught entirely in English.
European Legal Studies consists of a broad and multidisciplinary offering of courses that allows students to create a professionally-oriented curriculum that is tailored to their areas of interest.
The Master‘s Programme offers a broad, advanced education in a wide range of subjects related to European and international law, including the protection of fundamental rights in the framework of multilevel constitutionalism, substantive EU law, comparative and global administrative law, transnational private law, and dispute settlement.
The Master’s Programme is designed to meet the needs of students who aim for careers in a global context requiring specialised knowledge of European and international law and governance. Career opportunities include those in international institutions and non-governmental organisations, in-house counselling, specialised journalism, and research.
Our aim is to empower talented and motivated students to thrive in a world-class academic environment, while building a future beyond borders! For this reason, at the University of Torino international students can choose among a variety of scholarships, depending on the type of program and applicant profile.
Two key opportunities are open to students of all degree programs and academic level:
- EDISU Piemonte Scholarships: EDISU Piemonte, the Regional Agency for the Right to Education in Piedmont, offers scholarships based on both academic merit and financial need. These can help cover tuition fees, housing, and living costs for students enrolled at the University of Turin.
- MAECI Scholarships: The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) provides scholarships for international students and Italian citizens living abroad. These grants support study, research, and training in Italy and are available for all academic levels at institutions like the University of Turin.
- The Talents 4 UniTo scholarships are a unique opportunity available only for applicants to the degree program in European Legal Studies. This merit-based initiative is designed to attract highly motivated and talented international students by offering financial support to help cover their living expenses during their studies in Turin. The selection is based on academic excellence and the strength of the applicant’s profile.
- The Unicore: University Corridors for Refugees program is a special scholarship opportunity dedicated only to applicants to the degree program in European Legal Studies who hold refugee status and are currently living in selected countries. This program is part of the University of Turin’s strong commitment to global inclusion and academic excellence. It offers a fully supported pathway to higher education in Italy, covering travel, visa, tuition fees, and living expenses.
