Introduction

Our Travel and Tourism programs prepare leaders with emotional intelligence for the labor market to assume management or supervisory positions in the travel and tourism industry. Also, UIC trains students to become entrepreneurs and self-employed. UIC is located in South Florida, one of the world's top touristic destinations. Florida has 12 international airports, 14 deepwater ports, and 1,200 miles of sand beaches. Tourism in Florida has an economic impact in Florida of US$67 Billion. South Florida is a perfect location for employment in the travel and tourism industry.

Program Objectives are:

  • To prepare executive leaders with emotional intelligence for the labor market to assume management or supervisory positions in the travel and tourism industry.
  • To prepare students with a clear vision of their professional goals within the travel and tourism industry.
  • To prepare students for the creation of a business.
