Human development is the research and study objective of the Master in Human Development. The course shows the perspective that man is an active being in his relationships in different environments, such as family, work, school, and community. The human being participates in interrelationships in different places and can also influence the immediate context of environments in which he is not actively and directly present. The environments are immersed in the macrosystem, which corresponds to the global patterns of ideologies, beliefs, forms of government, and cultures present in people's daily lives.

The course has a teaching staff formed by doctors, with experience in teaching, academic guidance, and significant publications in the area. Teachers are involved in research projects with external funding from funding agencies.

To train researchers, generate knowledge from an interdisciplinary perspective, and analyze the construction of individual, social and professional identities. Investigate and reflect on training environments, their forms, and contexts and point out the contributions to human development. Encourage dialogue and exchange with graduate programs and with national and international research teams, which emphasize Latin America.
