Introduction
The goal of the program is to support the effective functioning of the health system through the training of qualified and highly competent nurses. This program, offering integrated theoretical and practical study, will give graduates a basic knowledge of the theory and methodology of nursing and develop clinical skills for planning and managing the nursing process, develop their ability to adapt to changing needs, lifelong learning, and continuous professional development, and as a result, the nurse will be able to conduct independent professional activities. Achievement of this goal will facilitate the implementation of reforms in the health system of the country.
Graduates of the program will be able to be employed in medical facilities and public health organizations. They will also be able to continue their studies in nursing specialization or to obtain master's, and in the future, PhD degrees.
Program details
The program includes theoretical and laboratory studies, as well as 90 ECTS clinical practices. Clinical practices are conducted at the medical facilities of various profiles by the clinical practice mentors. Laboratory and practical groups do not exceed 15 students. Curriculum
The program includes 240 credits, consisting of 228 ECTS of core subjects, of which the Georgian Language is a mandatory foreign language for international students, and English - is a mandatory foreign language for Georgian students, and 12 ECTS of electives, which the student chooses from offered 24 ECTS.

- Knows and determines basic theoretical aspects of nursing;
- Describes, interprets and reviews designation and rules for conduction of nursing manipulations and procedures;
- Understands the importance of preventive, diagnostic, treatment-rehabilitation and palliative measures at the individual and population levels

- Applies the "Nursing Assessment“ method and nursing theories;
- Performs nursing manipulations and procedures;
- Provides the nursing service process with the use of relevant medical technologies and methods;
- Determines and assesses the impact of the health system and policy on nursing activities;
- Studies, compares and assesses the factors affecting individual and population health using situational analysis
Responsibility and autonomy
- Assesses own learning process in the areas of nursing (including therapeutic, surgical, pediatric, geriatric) and determines further learning needs;
- Ensures protection of the rights of patients and medical staff by taking into account professional, ethical and legal (both local and international) norms and strives to implement them in nursing practice;
- Takes into account importance of emotional, social, psychological, moral and physical conditions of the patient and patient’s family to establish effective nursing practice.
