Introduction
Focused on globalization, the UBIS DBA experience challenges you to sharpen your critical and analytical expertise. You will develop your research skills to become an expert in your field with a proven ability to think outside of the box. The program is designed to fit the demanding lifestyle of executives and professionals, meaning that you can take your career to the next level whilst maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
This is a 60-credit program in which 20 credits are based on relevant business topics, 25 credits are based on learning how to research, and 15 credits are based on executing your dissertation. Each module will contribute to the research for your Dissertation. Moreover, our very practical DBA is based on skills rather than merely research like other Doctorate programs. We will also help you perfect your public speaking abilities which we know is very important for any professional career.
The UBIS DBA research and thesis portion of the program consists primarily of individual research, under the supervision of qualified professors who provide a broad range of expertise as well as an international reputation. The program can cover traditional research topics in fields such as management, finance, marketing, and organizational behavior, as well as non-traditional topics depending on students’ needs. Virtually all topics are accepted as long as the research is connected to management.
During the program you will be guided by a professor with a deep understanding of the field you will be studying but at the end of the day, the expert on the particular topic will be you.

To receive a Doctorate of Business Administration, students must earn 60 US semester credit hours that are equal to 14 courses, a comprehensive doctoral exam, and a successful defense of a dissertation.
The UBIS DBA: Time Frame and Learning Formats
To receive a Doctorate of Business Administration, students must earn 60 US semester credit hours that are equal to 14 courses, a comprehensive doctoral exam, and a successful defense of a dissertation. In its accelerated format, the UBIS DBA can be finished in 2.5 years. Currently, the DBA is only offered online due to the travel restrictions imposed by the pandemic. In the future, the UBIS DBA will be offered in a blended format.
