The Programme

UBI's Bachelor in Business is a three-year, full-time programme validated by Middlesex University London and delivered in English across the Brussels and Luxembourg campuses. Students complete 60 ECTS per academic year and must achieve 180 ECTS to graduate, within a maximum of four years from initial registration.

In the final year, students choose one of four specialisations to shape the direction of their degree:

  • Business
  • International Business Management
  • Management of AI in E-Commerce and Retail Marketing
  • Management of Sustainable Energy Transition

The curriculum follows a deliberate cumulative progression across the three years. In Year 1, students build a broad foundation in management knowledge and practice, developing core analytical, problem-solving, and team-working skills. In Year 2, they acquire deeperknowledge and develop their capacity to manage in conditions of unpredictable change. In Year 3, students study specialized modules and apply advanced management thinking in complex, cross-cultural professional settings, culminating in a capstone project aligned to their chosen specialisation and career direction.

The UBI Difference

What distinguishes a UBI education is not any single feature, but the way in which the following commitments work together to produce graduates who are genuinely ready for professional life from day one.

  • Personalisation: Class sizes of 30-35 students ensure that every learner receives meaningful, tailored academic support from their professors. Students select both their final project topic and their personal mentor, directing the most intensive phase of their studies towards their own professional ambitions. This is underpinned by UBI's institution-wide "No One is Left Behind" philosophy, which embeds structured personal academic guidance throughout the full duration of every programme.
  • HyFlex:UBI's HyFlex (Hybrid Flexible) model allows students to study on-campus or fully online without any compromise to the quality of the learning experience. Certified by EOCCS under EFMD, the model combines synchronous and asynchronous components to accommodate different learning styles, schedules, and personal circumstances. The three-year hybrid-flexible progression is also designed to mirror the hybrid work realities that graduates will encounter in modern professional environments.
  • AI Enhanced Learning: Artificial intelligence is embedded throughout the UBI experience rather than confined to a single module. Programmes are powered by AWS tools, with students developing hands-on proficiency in Python, data analytics, and cloud-based AI platforms. The goal is to ensure that every UBI graduate can apply these capabilities in real business contexts from day one, regardless of their chosen specialisation.
  • Partnerships & Links with Companies:UBI's corporate network includes Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, Publicis Groupe, and leading academic institutions such as LSE and Babson College, as well as local and regional chambers of commerce. These relationships translate directly into student value: internship and employment pathways, guest lectures from senior practitioners, company visits, and real-world project collaborations. Students also have the option to spend a semester abroad at a partner institution or join an international business study trip.
  • British Degrees in the EU:All UBI programmes are validated by Middlesex University London, giving every graduate a globally recognised British BSc (Hons) degree whilst studying in the heart of Europe - a combination that remains rare and highly valued in the international graduate labour market.
  • Innovative Programmes: Every UBI curriculum is developed in close collaboration with industry partners to reflect the latest business and technology trends. Specialisations in AI in E-Commerce and Retail Marketing and Sustainable Energy Transition place students at the frontier of two of the fastest-growing sectors in the global economy, while the broader portfolio ensures a progression pathway through to MSc and Executive MBA level.
  • Lifelong Learning: UBI supports learners at every stage of their professional journey: from a three-year BSc through to MSc programmes, Post-graduate certificates, and a flexible Executive MBA ranked #20 worldwide by QS, with five intake points per year. The HyFlex model ensures that progression to higher levels of study remains accessible alongside professional commitments.
