Introduction
Master in Business Management
The aim of this Master’s Program in Business Management is to further develop the competences needed to succeed in a global business environment. The program goes into depth regarding strategic planning and management of business concepts and operations and also covers key organizational capabilities. The program is intended for individuals who seeking a management position at an organization of any kind.
This master's program is international in every sense, not just course material. Turku University of Applied Sciences frequently invites teachers and experts from their partner universities to join their faculty and bring their specialized knowledge and expertise. The program provides many opportunities to trade knowledge within diverse groups, while encouraging the development of unique thinking and skills. The program takes two years to complete and is designed to accommodate professionals who are working full-time. Students learn through a blend of lectures and seminars, e-learning, and independent work. The program includes advanced research and development methods as well as studies in business strategy, management, and leadership. Students may also choose to study topics from other master’s degree programs.
A central part of MBA studies is the master’s thesis. During this project, students have the opportunity to greatly enhance their knowledge and skills in a certain field and topic and build their skills in leading teams and work groups. The studies are oriented towards real working life as well as research and development. Therefore, the program can usually be connected with the objectives of students' current employers.

Scholarships and Funding
Scholarship program at Turku University of Applied Sciences
The student can apply for a refund for the tuition fee based on the national certificate of language proficiency in the Finnish language, i.e. the YKI certificate.
The amount of the scholarship based on the YKI certificate in the Finnish language is EUR 4 000 when the student has paid EUR 11 500 tuition fee for the previous academic year. The scholarship can be granted only once per academic year.
Program Outcome
Graduates of this course will receive a Master of Business Administration
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree studies provide the student with skills and competences for developing business concepts and processes as well as managing organizations and business relationships. Completion of a master’s degree at a University of Applied Sciences qualifies for doctoral studies in different universities.
