About : The BA (Hons) Games Design (Top-up) program is designed for those who have completed a relevant foundation degree or HND. This one-year program allows students to enhance their skills and knowledge in game design, focusing on both theoretical and practical aspects. Our BA (Hons) top degree is validated by Sheffield Hallam University. It has been specially designed for students who wish to pursue a career within the computer games industry and to build on the skills that they have developed at levels 4 and 5. The course is mainly based around the artistic elements of game design and development, with some group projects and solo projects. We also help to prepare you for a life in the industry by providing insight into the professional practice of game design through practical demonstration, research, and theory-based study. Students are encouraged to explore a variety of sources and subjects that influence their development as well as experience a range of teaching methods such as formal lectures, team teaching, practical demonstrations, and tutorials that further enhance their learning experience.
