Key Summary

About: Since 1969 Trinity’s International Studies program offers interdisciplinary study of world regions and global relations at a nearly 200‑year‑old New England liberal arts college with Episcopal roots. Twelve faculty hold whole or partial appointments and 30+ others contribute courses and advising, letting you link departments—history, language and culture studies, political science, religion, and women, gender, and sexuality studies. The program requires language acquisition and study abroad.

Career Outcomes: Graduates move into diplomacy, foreign service, international development, NGO program management, policy analysis, human rights advocacy, international education, journalism, and global business, using regional expertise, languages, research, and cross-cultural skills worldwide.

Since 1969, the International Studies Program has been Trinity’s primary destination for the interdisciplinary study of world regions and global interrelations. Today twelve faculty members hold whole or partial appointments in International Studies and over thirty others provide courses and advising that are essential to the program. This wide participation allows students to make connections among many of the departments and programs on campus. Interested in the Middle East?
