Bachelor of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering

The McKetta Department of Chemical & Bioprocess Engineering is designed to deliver a practical hands-on, rigorous learning experience that has consistently yielded national award-winning, sought-after graduates. Accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, the program supports minors in Bio-Process Engineering and Environmental Engineering and offers elective courses in Biochemical Engineering, Bio- Separations, Plant Management, Polymer Engineering, Pharmaceutical Processes, Energy Engineering and numerous undergraduate research projects.

Guided by faculty with engineering work experiences from industry-leading companies such as Pfizer, Shell Oil, Koch industries and doctorates from Yale, Rice, Michigan State and Wayne State Universities, chemical engineering students benefit from a truly exceptional experience. Students will typically have multiple work experiences through professional internships or Co-ops before they graduate. In addition, students are exposed to numerous plant trips, professional and academic speakers, and have an industrial mentor.
