Introduction

The study program "Business and Environmental Law" (LLB) provides students with in-depth knowledge in the field of business and environmental law as well as business administration content.

Students acquire the necessary specialist and interdisciplinary skills in the fields of law and economics to answer complex questions relating to commercial, environmental, and energy law in the context of sustainability goals.

They have a critical understanding of the most important theories and can recognize problems, develop solutions, and implement state-of-the-art solutions. The program also enables students to discuss legal issues and their solutions with experts and non-specialists and to defend solutions to problems with arguments. Self-organization and the ability to work in a team play a major role here - especially in an interdisciplinary context. This enables students to assess their abilities and to independently reflect on their capacities to organize and make decisions and to use these under supervision.

Overall, the degree program in Business and Environmental Law is therefore an attractive alternative to the "traditional" law degree program at universities.

The program is supplemented by additional qualifications - and this is what distinguishes it from โ€œtraditionalโ€ law studies at universities - such as the teaching of business management skills, which are essential for understanding business law. In addition, there is thorough foreign language training that takes account of the international nature of business life and the teaching of further key qualifications through communication training, presentations, group work, and tutorials. The foreign language training can be supplemented by the acquisition of an "International Law" certificate. Furthermore, it is possible to spend a semester abroad at one of our partner schools or to participate in (international) practice-related projects.
