About: The Bachelor of Social Work at Te Pūkenga is a four-year degree recognised by the New Zealand Social Workers' Registration Board. It builds competencies in social policy, practice skills, social justice, cultural safety, te reo Māori and mātauranga Māori. The programme uses bicultural Ako teaching, research projects and case-study discussion, and includes practical placements in years 3 and 4 so you apply learning in real social work settings.
Career Outcomes: You can become a registered social worker and work in child and family services, mental health and addiction, community development, youth work, policy, advocacy, healthcare or NGO case management.
