Master's degree in only 1 year

During your Master of Business Administration, you will also choose one of three specialisations: international management, hospitality management or commercial management.
International management
Specialise in business intelligence and learn how to take better and faster decisions based on data (and Big Data). Want a high-flying career as an entrepreneur, either in the Netherlands or internationally? At Tio, you will use case studies, research, company visits, workshops, lectures and guest lectures to develop your entrepreneurial mindset, knowledge and skills. You will also work to build personal leadership.

Hospitality management
Learn sustainable business practices for the hospitality industry, as well as how to identify and make the most of opportunities for innovation. Dive into the world of strategic facility management and learn how to draw up facility-related policies. In doing so, you will naturally consider current developments such as robotisation and digitisation. You will also take a more in-depth look at personal leadership.

Development programme
This is your chance to develop yourself personally and professionally: learn what your interests are and write an essay about them. You will also acquire all the skills you need to conduct solid research at a master’s level
Graduation
A problem statement, literature research, surveys, variables: all the ingredients you need for your thesis research are covered here. While working on your graduation thesis, you will provide a recommendation to the industry in which you are conducting your research.
This Master of Business Administration (ISAT-code 70024) has been accredited by the NVAO and educate students in one year for the internationally recognized title of Master of Business Administration (MBA)4). This Master of Business Administration (MBA) is made available in collaboration with our business partner NTI.
Scholarships and Funding
Tio offers scholarships to foreign students from the European Union (EU /EEA) and to non-European students for its English study programs. The scholarship is awarded for one academic year.
Tio super talent scholarship
The amount of this scholarship is € 11,975 per full-degree student. The scholarship is awarded for one academic year. It is possible to apply for this scholarship every year. You are eligible if you meet the following criteria:
- You must have outstanding study results.
- You must have an IELTS Academic score of 7.0 or higher, a TOEFL iBT score of 100 or higher, a Cambridge exam of CAE-A or higher, or a CEFR C1 level or higher.
Tio talent scholarship
The amount of this scholarship is € 5,987.50 per full-degree student. The scholarship is awarded for one academic year. It is possible to apply for this scholarship every year. You are eligible if you meet the following criteria:
- You must have above-average study results.
- You must have an IELTS Academic score of 6.5 or higher, a TOEFL iBT score of 90 or higher, a Cambridge exam of CAE-B or higher, or a CEFR C1 level or higher.
How to apply for a scholarship
If you would like to be considered for a scholarship, you need to provide Tio with the following information:
- Attach a letter of recommendation in English from your former (secondary) school.
- Attach a legalized copy of all Higher Education qualifications translated into English.
- Attach a legalized copy of recent mark/grade lists translated into English.
- Attach a legalized copy of your English language proficiency (IELTS/TOEFL/Cambridge exam).
After the deadline of July 1st (September enrolment) or November 1st (January enrolment), you will be informed whether or not the scholarship can be awarded. When awarded, the scholarship is paid out as a discount on your tuition fee. All scholarships are subject to availability and only available for non-Dutch nationality students.
