Introduction

Thiel College history majors can expect to take courses designed to acquaint you with the origins of contemporary civilization; its political, economic, social, and cultural aspects; to awaken a consciousness of other cultures, ways of life and thought, and standards of value; to recreate as fully and as accurately as possible significant periods of past history; and to teach you how to find, analyze and interpret historical evidence and to develop a sense of historical perspective.

As a history major in your junior or senior year, you must present at an academic conference or complete a history-related internship.
