Program Overview

The M.S. in Mathematical Finance program is designed for problem-solvers with the analytical skills to navigate today’s financial services industry. This nationally-ranked program, a joint effort of the Belk College of Business and the Klein College of Science, prepares you for a career in quantitative finance.

Firms, especially financial institutions, investment banks and commodities firms, rely on sophisticated mathematical models to manage risk. This has led to the emergence of mathematical finance, also known as financial engineering or quantitative finance, which requires extensive skills in both finance and mathematics.
