Accounting is the information backbone of any business and is critical for the successful management of any organization. UNC Charlotte’s AACSB-accredited accounting programs leverage established relationships within the Charlotte accounting community and have an active recruiting pipeline to the Big 4 accounting firms, top local, regional and national firms, leading corporations and financial institutions.

Accounting, B.S. at a Glance

Students who apply for this major and are accepted into the Belk College of Business are initially classified as Pre-Accounting (PACC) majors. Students interested in pursuing a major in Accounting should seek admission to the Pre-Accounting program to ensure appropriate advising and support. Students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7 and earn at least a grade of C in all required progression courses to declare an upper-level major in Accounting. Once enrolled at UNC Charlotte, students may attempt each progression course a maximum of two times.
