Our Associate of Science in Culinary Arts program provides a comprehensive overview of creative cooking at the professional level.

You’ll master the fundamentals of composing dishes in Introduction to Culinary Ingredients, sharpen your knife skills in Culinary Techniques, and then apply those lessons in food-specific classes, including Meats, Fish, and Loaves of bread and Pastry. At the same time, interactive academic courses like Nutrition, Cost Accounting, and Concept Development will focus on teaching you the critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills you’ll utilize in the field. Upon completion of the program, you’ll be prepared for entry-level positions in a variety of foodservice operations, including restaurants, hotels, catering services, banquet halls, and resorts.

Tuition-Paid Travel

As part of Walnut Hill College’s distinctive Culinary Arts program, associate students participate in a week-long, tuition-paid gastronomic tour of France. They explore the charm of French villages and some of the finest dining in Europe. Best of all, they have the opportunity to study with international professionals in the hospitality and culinary fields.

Tuition

Our academic year is divided into three ten-week terms. A total of six terms is required for an associate degree and twelve terms for a bachelor’s degree.
