This is a space for artists and researchers who want to combine creative passion with academic reflection.

The education program (DS CPP Educational Programme) allows doctoral students to carry out their own artistic and research projects and to develop skills useful both in academic environments and in artistic or professional practice. The attractive and specialized program is regularly updated to meet the needs of doctoral students. By choosing optional courses, students can build their own path and develop personal artistic and academic interests.

Doctoral School of Solo and Ensemble Music: Contemporary Performance Practice (DS CPP) offers:

  • a broad and varied approach to art and science,
  • openness to new ideas and diverse paths of development,
  • openness to international cooperation,
  • the possibility to choose an artistic supervisor every semester – also from outside the university.

Each doctoral student has an artistic supervisor who guides their artistic development (15 hours per semester).
The supervisor can be changed each semester at the student’s request and does not have to be the doctoral advisor.
The doctoral advisor is chosen during the first three months of study. This person can be a professor from the Academy or – with the consent of The Research Council – from another university.

Doctoral School of Solo and Ensemble Music: Contemporary Performance Practice (DS CPP) is an environment where you can build your own creative and academic path, searching for original ways of artistic and scientific expression.
