The Swiss Center for Conflict Research, Management, and Resolution at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem offer a prestigious one-year MA program taught in English.

The program allows students to explore the fields of conflict transformation, resolution, problem-solving, and negotiations. Students are exposed to theories and practices of managing and resolving domestic and external conflicts in general, and in Israel in particular. The methods, techniques, and strategies that can help manage and resolve conflicts are studied from different disciplinary points of view, including political science, international relations, social psychology, international law, communication, digital media, sociology, and Israel studies.

The program includes theoretical and methodological courses and seminars, as well as workshops through which students acquire skills for conflict management and resolution, and lectures of leading academics and professionals in the field. Through its unique setting and location, the program also offers ‘hands-on’ experiential learning - encountering and following the tracks of conflict and diversity, through study tours, practical ‘on-site’ training, and meetings with key people, including policymakers, political leaders, activists and more.

Studying conflict resolution in Israel and at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem provides a unique opportunity for those interested in the field and a diverse environment that includes students from different nationalities and religions. In the first year that the program has been running, we have had students from different academic backgrounds who came from Brazil, Canada, China, Dominican Republic, Spain, South Africa, East Jerusalem, and the USA.
