Introduction
The LL.M. Specialization in Global Business Law offers an in-depth and advanced course of study in this increasingly significant field, drawing on the expertise and international reach for which the Hebrew University's Faculty of Law is globally recognized. The Faculty was recently ranked #42 in the world (and #1 outside the English-speaking world!) by the Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects.
Students will engage with core and foundational courses in key areas of global business law, including international contracting, comparative commercial law, transnational commercial law, and international investment and trade law.
These core studies will be complemented by a broad range of specialized courses in fields such as international law, conflict of laws, commercial law, intellectual property, and business ethics. Students interested in exploring the relationship between business-related religious law and the evolution of contemporary and internationalized business practices will also have the opportunity to do so.

We welcome students from around the world who wish to deepen their knowledge of global business law. The program offers a unique academic and professional opportunity for aspiring and practicing lawyers, legal scholars, corporate counsel, and policymakers seeking a strong foundation in the intersection of law and global business. At the Heart of Innovation and History
The program will take place in Jerusalem, a city of historical and cultural depth and a key player in the Start-Up Nation's innovation ecosystem. Israel is also globally recognized for its leadership in business and technology.
Program Structure
The LLM program consists of 36 credits over two consecutive semesters. Students will be expected to conclude all courses for credit with a grade based on either an exam or a written paper. If a student will be writing a thesis, they will only be required to complete 32 credits.
The program is designed to be completed in one year for students who do not write a thesis. Students may choose to write a thesis and submit it by the end of the calendar year following their academic year of study, at no additional cost (for example: If you begin the program in 2025–26, your thesis would be due by December 31, 2026.) If you require additional time, you may register for the extended thesis track, which gives you one extra year to submit your thesis. This option comes with a fee of $1,600 (10% of the program tuition) and allows submission by the end of the following calendar year.
