Introduction

Public health management is a branch of the public health profession that involves the management of threats to public health. Public health is concerned with the health of the population rather than the specific care provided to individual patients. Therefore, this course is developed to provide doctoral students in public health, likely to occupy leadership positions in health systems, with skills in areas related to all aspects of national health systems, namely: health systems primary, secondary and tertiary health care. The course will cover aspects of health systems administration and management, health policy formulation and implementation strategies. Quality assurance methods and strategies in health care delivery system, program planning, implementation and evaluation, training methods for community health care and human resource management are the public health.
