Introduction
This course generally introduces the concept of health and disease and allows you to plan and evaluate strategies to prevent disease. It covers the different approaches and methods for applying acquired knowledge to the control of diseases through prevention and treatment, resulting in the preservation of public health.
- Understand the study of the etiology, natural history and cause of disease.
- Determine the frequency and type of disease in the population.
- Design, conduct, analyze and interpret the results of epidemiological studies.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of preventive and therapeutic measures in the face of an illness.
