Introduction

The B.S. in Environmental Studies offers an extensive suite of policy courses which will enable you to understand the public policy debates surrounding environmental issues and ultimately participate in the formulation of policy. It integrates courses from the college’s four departments – Atmospheric Sciences, Geography, Geology and Geophysics, and Oceanography – to give you the solid foundation in Earth system sciences needed to effectively participate in and affect those debates. ENST majors will select an area of specialization from Urban Environments, Geographic Information Science and Technology, Environmental Regulation and Compliance, Occupational Health and Safety, or Global Environment.
