To earn the Online LL.M. degree, students must complete 24 units over four terms: Fall I (September–October), Fall II (November–December), Spring (March–April), and Summer (May–June).
The Online LL.M. is distinct from Temple Law’s in-person LL.M. for Foreign Trained Lawyers offered in Philadelphia. However, Online LL.M. students are welcome to participate in Temple’s in-person Summer Abroad in Rome program as a substitute for the Online LL.M. summer term.
Full-time students are required to take a minimum of three courses (six credits) each term. A part-time option is also available, allowing students to take fewer than three courses on a per-credit basis. Students may also apply to take additional elective courses, if available.
All courses are offered in both synchronous and asynchronous formats. To earn credit, students must comply with the law school’s attendance policy. Those taking courses asynchronously will arrange separate meeting times with faculty throughout the term. Individual instructors may enforce stricter attendance requirements for their courses.
