Key Summary

About: The Post-doctorate in Plant Ecology and Evolution focuses on advanced research in plant ecological and evolutionary processes. It aims to deepen your understanding of plant interactions with their environment, evolutionary theory, and functional aspects of plant biology. This opportunity allows for extensive exploration of these themes through collaborative research projects and mentoring.
Career Outcomes: Graduates can pursue careers in academia, research institutions, botanical gardens, and government agencies. They may also work in conservation organizations, environmental consultancy, or agricultural development, contributing to important research and policy efforts in plant science.

Introduction

The Hübner lab at the Galilee Research institute (MIGAL), Israel offers a post-doctorate position in plant ecology and evolution. The project involves the analysis of a species distribution and landscape genomics using advanced computational tools in order to study adaptation to future climate. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with experience in spatial ecology and firm knowledge in species distribution models to join this exciting and high-impact project!

The ideal candidate should have a relevant research experience in ecology, evolution, biogeography, spatial modeling, or related fields of research. Some background in bioinformatics and/or population genomics is an advantage. The post-doc position duration is two years subject to review after the first year; further extension may also be possible. Interested candidates should send a cover letter, CV, names and contact details of two references, and a one-page description of their research accomplishments, all as a single PDF file.
