Technological University of the Shannon - TUS

About

TUS is a multi-campus university spread across seven campuses throughout Ireland’s Midwest and Midlands region. With principal campuses at Limerick and Athlone, we benefit from an already strong and vibrant history of education and learning in the wider region, and will continue to play our part in sustaining and enhancing this identity for generations to come.

Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) is a multi-campus technological university in Ireland’s Midlands and Mid-West, known for practical, career-focused education and strong industry connections. With campuses across Athlone, Moylish (Limerick), Thurles, Clonmel, Ennis, and Coonagh (Limerick), TUS combines applied learning with a supportive, student-centred environment, helping students build real skills, confidence, and career direction.

Career outcomes are our core focus and strength at TUS. For the third consecutive year, TUS recorded Ireland’s highest graduate employment rate, with 85.5% of honours degree graduates employed within nine months (HEA Graduate Outcomes Survey).

Internationally, TUS holds a QS 5 Stars rating, receiving five stars across eight categories: Teaching, Employability, Internationalisation, Academic Development, Online Learning, Programme Strength, Arts & Culture, and Inclusiveness.

TUS is authorised to use the TrustEd Ireland statutory quality mark (awarded through a national evaluation process overseen by QQI), recognising excellence in the international student experience and institutional quality.

TUS focuses deeply on student experience, support and belonging, an approach reflected in nationally at TUS, including a Best Student Experience Award for our International Student Experience Team at the Education Awards, Ireland.

Across undergraduate, postgraduate and professional programmes, TUS delivers education that is applied, inclusive, and designed to help students thrive in Ireland and globally.
