About: SUNY Sullivan's Associate of Arts in Theater Arts is a two-year theatre generalist programme training acting, voice and speech, musical theatre, physical theatre, design and stagehand work. It follows the SUNY Transfer Path, enabling transfer to SUNY four-year colleges as juniors. Students produce plays in Seelig Theater.
Career Outcomes: Graduates may move into roles such as actor, stagehand/technician, assistant stage manager, production assistant or continue toward a Bachelor degree in theatre, performance, design or technical theatre. Skills apply to arts administration, education, community arts, live events production and regional theatre work, including touring productions, educational theatre, technical support roles.

SUNY Sullivan's Theater Arts program is a two-year theater generalist program that prepares students to transfer to any SUNY four-year college as a junior with training in acting, voice and speech, musical theater, physical theater, design, and stagehand work. One musical, one contemporary, and one classical play are produced each year in the college's Seelig Theater.
Students benefit from the program's ties to all professional and amateur theaters in the surrounding region. The Performing Arts Club provides extracurricular outlets for students and participation in the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival.
The Theater Arts AA Program encourages students to use the medium of theatrical art to observe, illuminate, and effectively communicate the diversity of human experience. Based upon the SUNY Transfer Path for Theater, the degree enables students to readily transfer to a SUNY four-year college or university upon completion of the equivalent of four semesters of full-time study.

Students in the Theater Arts Program will demonstrate competency in at least seven out of the ten SUNY General Education areas and at least 30 General Education Credits. Therefore, they will complete the following outcomes:
- Produce and revise coherent written texts and develop proficiency in oral discourse
- Perform basic operations of computer use to locate, evaluate, and synthesize information from a variety of sources
- Identify, analyze, and evaluate material and create a reasoned critical response
- Employ scientific and quantitative reasoning
