Key Summary
Introduction
Why take this master's degree?
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is essential within civil engineering. Professionals with this specialization can use the benefits of BIM in all stages of an infrastructure project. Currently, more than a challenge, BIM is a necessity.
Currently, the construction and civil engineering sector is in a transition process towards widespread adoption of the BIM methodology. However, we encounter the problem that there is a great imbalance between companies that have already adopted this methodology (or are in the process) and those that have not started with this change.
A correct implementation of BIM involves both the adoption of new tools and the processes necessary for this new way of working. It is important to remember that the tools allow us to approach the methodology, but the key is knowing how to use the appropriate procedures. This program is focused on responding to current market needs by covering the 3 main legs of BIM adoption: people, processes and technology.
In engineering, BIM tools and processes make it easy to create accurate 3D models of a project. Which helps civil engineers identify possible problems and impacts earlier in the process.
Adopting a BIM methodology in Civil Engineering increases the clarity of each project and its components for all agents involved, facilitating decision making and also reducing risks and the potential for error.
We are an Autodesk Authorized Center (ATC)
Accrediting badge officially issued by Autodesk for all those students who additionally acquire their license.
IMPORTANT NOTE: For students who wish to acquire an educational license to carry out the mandatory practices of the Master, the final amount will increase by:
- 130 euros (Autodesk educational license)
- 60 euros (Periscoope educational license)
Toda la parte práctica del máster NO se desarrolla sobre una única infraestructura (no sería posible aplicar todo). Se hace sobre tres infraestructuras con el objetivo de que el alumno tenga una visión global de la aplicación del BIM.
