The principle of sustainable development is to satisfy the needs of the present generation without compromising the possibilities of future generations to do the same. This principle guides the actions of the UEG Stricto Sensu Graduate Program in Sustainable Rural Development, which is being proposed with the aim of developing the skills of professionals linked to the Agrarian Sector and that they seek and support the transition process to sustainable rural development in the various spheres of the agricultural sector. The course includes three lines of research: Animal production, plant production, and rural management and extension.

Regarding the duration, the course will have a minimum period for obtaining the title of 18 months and a maximum of 24 months. Classes will be weekly concentrated on Thursdays and Fridays from 8 am to 5 pm, at the Western Campus of the State University of Goiás. Vacancies for the PPG / DRS will be distributed according to the program's research lines and the availability of the supervising professor. To be considered a master, the program participant must pass all credits and finally defend the final course project, where the candidate must demonstrate mastery of the object of study and the ability to express itself properly structured on that object, to be evaluated by a panel. qualified teachers.
