Introduction

The work of our graduates has touched the lives of some of the biggest names in sports. Actually touched them. That’s because some of that beautiful turf they walk and run on is the result of a State Tech grad’s skill and effort.

Professional sports teams, PGA tour golf courses, premier landscaping companies — graduates of our Commercial Turf & Grounds Maintenance program have worked on all of them. Using our 360-acre campus, which includes a golf practice facility and greenhouse, you’ll gain real-world experience that emphasizes the responsible use of products and appropriate plant selection to maximize the environmental benefits of healthy lawns and landscapes.

This accelerated eight-week program allows for a six-month industry-related internship during spring and summer and helps you enter the job market during peak hiring time. Plus, the curriculum has been designed with industry advisors' help and reflects the latest trends and technologies. During the program, you’ll also earn your Missouri Pesticide Applicator’s License, as well as CPR and safety certification.
