Key Summary
Master of Information Systems Management (MISM) focuses on management issues of information systems, covering the knowledge necessary for success in the management of information technology. This program views information from the perspective of managers at various levels, from first-line managers to CEOs. It provides a framework for management principles that current or aspiring managers can employ to cope with the challenges inherent in a rapidly advancing technological environment and make strategic decisions that align with an organization’s goals and objectives.
Ideal Stanton University Student
- A motivated, self-driven learner who values affordability and accessibility in higher education and seeks a high-quality degree without the burden of high tuition.
- Someone comfortable with flexible delivery formats (in-person, online, or distance learning) and able to manage their time, stay disciplined, and engage even when not in a traditional classroom.
- A student who wants student-centered education — looking for personalized support, close faculty interactions, and a community where individual growth is prioritized.
- An individual who is career-oriented: aiming to gain practical skills and knowledge that can be applied in real work settings rather than purely theoretical or research paths.
- Someone ready to adapt and persist — willing to navigate a smaller institution with evolving programs and reputation, and able to advocate for themselves when transitioning credits, transferring, or engaging with employers.
- For international students or those on F-1 visas, an ideal student is one who understands the enrollment requirements (e.g. full-time registration, limits on distance courses for visa eligibility) and plans accordingly.
