Application for Graduation

Graduation is not automatic on completion of degree requirements. An application must be filed with the School of Business Management and the Office of Admissions and Records during the quarter in which the student expects to graduate. Students who do not graduate in the quarter for which they have applied must reapply and pay any applicable fees in the subsequent quarter in which they expect to graduate.

Graduation Requirement:

• Successfully completed a minimum of 180 quarter units of the B.I.S.M degree in information systems management coursework with a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Successfully complete the degree requirements within the Maximum Time Frame (MTF) allowed for the B.I.S.M . degree, which is 1.5 times the program length. The program is normally twelve (12) quarters in length.
• Filed all the necessary graduation forms in accordance with the timetable provided by the School of Business and Management.
• Settled all financial obligations to the University.

• Knowledge and Proficiency – demonstrate understanding of the role of information systems in organizations and the impact of technology on business operations.
• Critical Thinking – exhibit analytical and critical thinking skills to support business operations and strategic decision-making, and to solve organizational problems.
• Information Utilization – design and implement information systems that support organizational goals and objectives and describe the potential global impacts of specific information systems solutions.
• Communication Skills – communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members towards the development and implementation of information systems.
• Diversity awareness – exhibit an understanding of, and respect for, diversity of individuals, groups, and cultures related to information systems management.
• Ethics – exhibit a knowledge and understanding of ethical, social, and legal implications of information systems.
