Our 5-month study abroad experience in Scotland provides students with the opportunity to learn from experienced practitioners and academics in the field, take 12-15 credits of coursework, and gain hands-on experience through fieldwork and internships. Through our courses, students learn how to create sustainable, community-based development programs that prioritize the needs and voices of the people they serve. As a research institution, we are committed to providing evidence-based social interventions that are consistent with published and peer-reviewed studies. We consistently review and incorporate the latest research to ensure that our approaches to preventing trafficking and abuse, providing services to victims of commercial exploitation, and training caregivers are effective.
