  • equity and trusts
  • public and EU law
  • criminal law

Enhance practical skills

Our Law (Conversion) LLM is focused on practice. You will:

solve real-world problem through mooting, interviewing, and simulated case studies

take part in employability sessions including psychometric testing, interview skills, and a CV clinic

participate in organised programmes on commercial awareness

attend organised visits to local civil and Crown Courts and the Royal Courts of Justice

complete an extended project on a practical area of law.

Expert teaching and support

You will learn from experienced, professional academics. Class sizes are also small, so you’ll get one-to-one support from lecturers.

St Mary’s law student Sebastian tells us our lecturers “go the extra mile to help students accomplish their goals”. Another student, Sophie, explains that St Mary's is "passionate about students being a name not a number" and she "feels as though [she] can speak to the lecturers at any time".

Make London your classroom

  • the Old Bailey
  • the Royal Courts of Justice

  • Parliament
  • the Inns of Court.
  • Work placements: build professional experience
