Who Requires a Visa?

Non-EU citizens intending to study in Italy, whether for short-term (up to 90 days) or long-term (over 90 days), must secure a student visa before entering the country. This visa permits enrollment in Italian educational institutions and participation in academic programs.

Types of Study Visas:

  • Visa Type C: Short-stay visa valid for one or more entries, not exceeding 90 days.
  • Visa Type D: Long-stay visa for programs exceeding 90 days.
