Introduction

The major in International Studies requires 33 hours of coursework (in addition to prerequisites for certain courses). The 33 hours includes 15 hours of study from the Basic Curriculum or Core Curriculum and 15 hours in a regional specialization. At least 18 hours from the Basic Curriculum or Core Courses and Area Studies Curricula must be in courses at the 3000 level or above. The final three-hour requirement for the B.A. in international studies is the seminar; access to the seminar is normally reserved for students in their senior year. The Senior Seminar (INTL 4388), must be taken on campus by all students. The Senior Seminar is offered ONCE per academic year, in Fall semester. All International Studies Seniors need to enroll for the Seminar in Fall semester in order to graduate.
