Key Summary
About: In ArchiCAD Level 3 you’ll study industry coordination in architectural design, integrating ArchiCAD with OPEN‑BIM standards. The course covers advanced BIM modeling (stairs, balustrades, structural partitions, openings), terrain import from point clouds, library element and profile import, project templates, construction documentation (specialized final views, lists, graphic variants, properties), presentation exports (.pdf, .dwg, BIM) and model-based error control and visualization at Sopot University of Applied Sciences in Sopot, Poland.
Career Outcomes: Graduates can pursue roles such as BIM coordinator, BIM manager, architectural technologist, project coordinator, or BIM modeller, working in architectural firms, engineering consultancies, construction companies, or multidisciplinary design teams.
In ArchiCAD Level 3, dive into industry coordination within architectural design, integrating ArchiCAD with OPEN-BIM standards. Explore advanced techniques for collaboration, data exchange, and coordination across disciplines, empowering seamless integration and interoperability in architectural projects.
The program includes subjects such as:
- advanced tools for creating a BIM model (stairs and balustrades, structural partition, openings, terrain with import from the point cloud, library elements - import, profiles),
- adapting the program to project needs - project template - selected issues,
- advanced creation of construction documentation from the information contained in the BIM model (specialized final views (eg apartment cards), detailed lists, graphic variants, properties),
- preparing final project presentations, saving project files in .pdf and .dwg and BIM formats.
As part of the course, students will develop their knowledge of the ArchiCAD program, learn the principles of creating a BIM model in terms of complete construction documentation in the field of architectural and construction design, tools for controlling and detecting errors in documentation, and the principles of industry coordination along with project visualization.
The indicated issues are the basis for conducting classes. In the event of student activity, the instructor may correct the scope of issues discussed during classes, as long as it does not affect the main topic and format of the course or the entire training cycle.
