Introduction

This four-year degree program is designed for students who desire a deeper understanding of the New Testament and the Jewish milieu from which Christianity emerged. Students will explore the New Testament's message, its historical and cultural background, and the context in which we live and apply its message today. Special emphasis is given to the sacred history and rich heritage of the Jewish people, which brings a fresh perspective to the New Testament writings.

The Scriptures and pertinent New Testament scholarship are studied through a non-sectarian approach allowing the Holy Spirit to bring to light the present-day application of God’s eternal Word. This approach gives the rich background and tools necessary for a lifetime of effective study and application of the New Testament.
