Combine data and business understanding and create new opportunities for businesses in constantly changing markets.
In companies, data is becoming increasingly essential. In this program, you will gain strong analytical skills to work with data from various sources along with a solid understanding of business and an innovative mindset. These competencies will empower you to develop new business opportunities based on the effective use of data.
You can apply your skills in launching new enterprises or contributing to the development of established businesses in Denmark and internationally.
Teaching
At the program, you will be taught by internationally recognized researchers who are not only passionate about teaching but also actively engage in the business community. You will therefore meet companies during your courses and projects on multiple occasions.
This means that you obtain an education that combines the highest academic knowledge with a practical understanding of business challenges.
In the moderate-sized classes, there is ample opportunity and time for dialogue and collaboration between students and teachers. This ensures that you have the best conditions to enhance your academic skills.
Data Driven Business Development is a two-year master's program and consists of both mandatory courses and elective courses.
The program consists of three overall groups of mandatory courses during the first and second semesters equivalent to 60 ECTS
- Courses within data, programming and visualization in which you learn to collect, program, analyze and visualize data.
- Courses within entrepreneurship and management of development processes in which you practice an innovative mindset and leading processes.
- Courses within business understanding and projects with companies in which you gain a broad understanding of business and hands-on experience during a project with a company.
The 3rd semester consists of elective courses equivalent to 30 ECTS. It is possible to choose electives where you specialize further in the three areas mentioned above e.g.
- Data electives
- Business processes electives
- Entrepreneurship electives
Of course, you are welcome to choose other electives or spend the semester abroad.
You conclude the program in the 4th semester with a thesis, which you can write in close collaboration with one of the local businesses. The thesis is equivalent to 30 ECTS.
With a degree in Data-driven Business Development, you will be the expert in bridging the gap between data and business. You will typically find employment where you visualize data, engage in business development, manage projects or work as a Business Intelligence consultant.
