Direct Brand and In-Company Experience

Field Projects
You will have the opportunity to spend two months working on field projects directly delivered by top international Fashion and Design Companies to practically apply the tools learned in class and discuss them with your academic and professional advisors.

Pre-courses
If you don’t have a business background, your program starts early, with pre-courses on the basics of management, accounting, and quantitative methods.
General Management & Applied Management Courses
At the beginning of the program, we offer you general concepts, methods, and tools about management, but with a specific orientation to fashion and design companies. Then we will deal with key management processes in companies where fashion, design, and experience are the product/value.
Advanced & Specialized Courses
Now is the time to start developing your core skills for the world of fashion and design. In these courses, you will tackle subjects such as digital strategy, customer relationship management, or retailing, with the support of some leading players in these markets.

Study Tours
Study tours are the perfect occasion to deepen in the field what is learned in class. The MAFED has a rich proposal for study tours, they're not mandatory and are not included in the fee of the Master. Most study tours are intended for the whole class, but the latest ones of the New York and Italian Grand Tour are specifically dedicated to the participants of the tracks in Go-To-Market in a Fashion and Design Global Landscape and Experience & Hospitality.
Field Projects
To tell whether learning is effective, it is always necessary to test it in the field. In-company group projects have this function and cover several corporate aspects and functions (brand positioning, pricing, entry into new markets, etc.).
Mafed Graduation
Learning Model
MAFED requires a full-time commitment. The lecture calendar includes 3 morning sessions lasting an hour and a half each, on certain days the lectures will extend into the afternoon. Your learning is guaranteed by an advanced and participatory teaching method that includes lectures, exercises, and guest speaker sessions.
The class schedule includes:
- Three morning sessions (8:30 am - 10:00 am; 10:15 am – 11:45 am; 12:00 noon – 1:30 pm)
- One afternoon session (2:30 pm – 4:00 pm)
The majority of the teaching consists of structured lectures, often supported by additional seminars. The pedagogical style will be a hybrid of lectures, exercises, and guest speaker sessions. You will be provided with the practical tools needed to analyze specific problems and make concrete decisions in the fashion and design sectors. The lecture style tends to be participatory, and lectures frequently incorporate case analysis and discussions, often involving the protagonists of real business. There are also required group work sessions, field investigations, and individual research.
Assessment
Grades are based on assignments completed during the course and/or examinations at the end of the same course. To qualify for the Master in Fashion, Experience, and Design Management, students must complete all courses and program activities, including general management courses, major courses, fashion and design management courses, seminars, and field projects.

Career Management Program
The MAFED cares about your professional future and wants to support you also in preparing your career development with the Career Management Program (CARM), a dynamic meeting point for cultures and opportunities that offers you advice and dedicated services.
With the Career Management Program (CARM) companies have access to:
- CV Book: We assist companies with their recruiting efforts by publishing a CV book, which includes the CVs of MAFED participants. It is distributed directly to companies and is available upon request from the CARM. This is a key tool for companies seeking high potential individuals and contains all the characteristics of students as well as information on the MAFED and the school.
CARM initiatives are individually tailored to maximize the satisfaction of your needs. The Career Management program supports all MAFED students in developing personal skills in order to strengthen their profile.
You are supported through:
- Training: Communication skills (self-presentation, interviewing, CV writing) and individual efficacy (creative problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, and leadership).
- CV Book: the CV book is issued and sent to leading fashion and design companies.
- General Assistance: Analysis of your expectations and goals and individual meetings with you for career development (Career Coaching).
The program is developed throughout the year with targeted sessions, each supported by MAFED faculty or professionals in the field of human resource management. Some sessions are plenary with speakers or class exercises, other sessions are held on an individual basis.
