Key Summary
Introduction
The Seasonal School COMINCIO aims to equip undergraduate and graduate students with STEM backgrounds with valuable tools in the field of communication for the Third Mission, as well as for showcasing their work and values to society. To achieve this, Scuola Sant'Anna's expertise will be emphasized, along with the involvement of external professionals to address the specific topic. Due to its limited duration (1 week), the course will provide a general introduction to strategic communication themes while also offering practical exercises for a more in-depth understanding and the development of essential skills. By the end of the course, students will have a good understanding of communication principles in general and scientific communication in particular. Additionally, through practical exercises, they will gain fundamental skills in scientific writing for Third Mission purposes, creating scientific images, conducting interviews, delivering pitch talks, and crafting press releases for interaction with the media and companies.
Teaching Methodologies
Students will find an interactive and cross-disciplinary learning environment that will proceed through classroom lessons, with multimedia aides, and several exercises on writing, public speaking, visual material presentations, and interviews. The course will be held in Italian.
