Introduction

Electrical engineering is an applied science that encompasses multiple technological areas, including analogue/digital electronics, computer-aided drafting, robotic systems, control systems, wireless communications, machinery control, signal processing, embedded systems, and many other applications. Electrical engineers develop and design ways to harness electricity and electromagnetism for practical purposes ranging from heating food in a microwave to programming robots to build cars. Electrical engineers are employed in many industries such as manufacturing, transportation, construction, business, education, government, healthcare, and other sectors.

The Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E.) program covers various concepts in the electrical engineering discipline. Among the many topics in the curriculum are motor control systems, programmable logic controllers (PLC’s), robotic systems, industrial systems, power distribution, and computer-aided drafting. Seniors complete a capstone project that allows them to pull together and apply ideas and concepts learned throughout the curriculum. The B.S.E.E. program is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC).

The B.S.E.E. program is challenging, developed for career-driven individuals, and scheduled with flexibility in mind.

The program can be completed between two to three years. Courses are scheduled to be continuous with no summer breaks.

Classes generally begin after 5 pm to allow students to attend to other responsibilities throughout the daytime.

Course schedule sequences are designed for students first to complete primarily technical courses, not general eds, so that they can pursue entry-level employment in technical fields to gain experience while pursuing their degree.
