Key Summary

    About : The Master in European Affairs program provides an in-depth understanding of European integration and governance. It covers the political, economic, and social dynamics that shape the European Union (EU) and its member states. You'll gain insights into policy-making processes and learn about the intricacies of EU institutions, making it ideal for those interested in international relations.
    Career Outcomes : Graduates can pursue various careers in government agencies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and diplomatic services. They may also work in international organizations, think tanks, or in business sectors where knowledge of EU policies is critical. This degree opens the door to roles that require expertise in European affairs and policy analysis.

The Master in European Affairs at School of Public Affairs offers an excellent education to students who wish to pursue European careers, both in the national and European public and private sectors. Our program gathers students from over 35 countries and an equally multicultural faculty, composed of academics, scholars, European and national civil servants, as well as leading professionals from the European "galaxy".

The Master in European Affairs offers:

  • multidisciplinary core curriculum courses on European affairs
  • eleven policy streams
  • a Public Innovation Laboratory
  • dual degrees
  • a unique international environment thanks to the Global Public Policy Network (GPPN), which brings together students from 50 different countries
  • a PrepaConcours that springs from a long tradition of excellence and prepares students for one of the fifteen examinations of the French and European senior civil service. As part of their curriculum, students can also take classes towards the Administrator examination (AD5, AD7), organised by EPSO, by taking courses at the CPCE (Centre de préparation aux concours européens).

Structure of the curriculum

Each student chooses a policy stream, taught in French or English, and follows a two-year curriculum that gives him/her access to:

  • core courses that provide a multidisciplinary and thorough knowledge on European affairs in economics, law, politics and geostrategy;
  • mandatory courses related to each stream to enhance professional skills in the chosen field of expertise;
  • our Public Innovation Laboratory to develop its practical expertise, based on case studies and a capstone project, in collaboration with our public and private partners (Public Policy Incubator);
  • a very wide range of elective courses, open to all policy streams.

All courses are taught in English
