OPT

Optional Practical Training (OPT), a benefit available to F-1 international students in the United States, gives Schiller graduates the chance to work in the country for up to 12 months after completing their degree (or up to 36 months for STEM disciplines). Students who spend at least their final year studying at the Tampa campus can take advantage of this opportunity to gain hands-on experience in their profession. OPT helps students strengthen their skills, expand career opportunities, and immerse themselves in the U.S. employment market. It offers a valuable bridge between academic learning and practical industry application on a global scale.
