Global Employability

Schiller International University’s Global Employability Path (GEP) is a specialized initiative designed to prepare students for success in a competitive, international job market. Aligned with the top 10 career skills identified by the World Economic Forum, the GEP develops students' abilities across four key areas: Innovation & Creativity, Interpersonal Skills, Digital Competence, and Business Communication.
Through mentorship, real-world challenges with global companies, simulations, workshops, and volunteer opportunities, students gain practical experience that enhances their academic journey. Upon completion, graduates receive a Global Employability Certification, signaling to top employers their readiness to lead and thrive in global work environments.

OPT

Through Optional Practical Training (OPT), a U.S. benefit to international students on an F-1 visa, Schiller students have the opportunity to work in the U.S. for up to 12 months after graduation (or 36 months for STEM degrees). This beneift is available to student who complete at least their final year at our Tampa campus and allows them to gain valuable professional experience in their field. OPT enhances students' skills and career prospects while immersing themselves in the U.S. job market. It provides a unique pathway to bridge academic knowledge with real-world application in a global context.
