Funding your creative career with financial aid

Financial aid is available to help students pay for their SCAD education. Financial aid includes scholarships, grants, federal and private loans, and work-study. Advisers are available to help you make a financial plan.

Applying for financial aid

To simplify the financial aid application process, SCAD has provided an overview to guide you along the way. Application deadlines vary based on the type of aid for which you're applying. Note the varying deadlines and give yourself enough time to collect required documentation.

Scholarships and grants

Scholarships and grants are gift aid โ€” financial aid that does not have to be repaid.

Scholarships are typically merit-based, while grants are given based on financial need. Both can come from the government, the university, or a private organization.
