The Logistics and Supply Chain Management post-graduate certificate is an 8-month program that provides hands-on education in the field of logistics and supply chain management. The program will prepare students with an existing bachelor's degree to understand and work in the logistics and supply chain management industry in Saskatchewan and Canadian public and private enterprises.
This post-graduate certificate prepares students to manage and coordinate all logistical functions in an enterprise, ranging from acquisitions to receiving and handling, through internal allocation of resources to operations units, to the handling and delivery of output. This program includes course topics in acquisitions and purchasing, inventory control, storage and handling, just-in-time manufacturing, logistics planning, shipping and delivery management, transportation, quality control, resource estimation and allocation, budgeting, strategic management, leadership and business communications.
Students will develop skills and knowledge in the fields of procurement, negotiations, leadership, logistics, risk management and information systems. You will apply theory to real-world scenarios in business situations, case studies, group projects, role-playing exercises and advanced simulation platforms. Students will benefit from our extensive industry partnerships which allow them to participate in work-integrated learning opportunities.
