Introduction

The Program's objective is to train researchers in Architecture and Urbanism, and is aimed at training higher-level teaching staff, qualifying the student to carry out research that contributes to the specific knowledge in the line in which he works and produces. Considering that the field of Architecture and Urbanism is characterized by the intense link between theoretical reflection and practical realization of the matter, characterizing a peculiar field of Applied Social Sciences, it also aims at training researchers with knowledge that contribute to the qualitative increase of architectural “praxis” and urbanistic, mainly in relation to issues related to the qualification, conservation and management of the urban environment and its architectures.
