Painting and Drawing Course

The course will introduce the student to the pictorial world. We will start with simple shapes and then move on to more complex ones. Step by step the student will learn a methodology to learn to represent reality with precision and truthfulness. The course will end with a theme work.

The course will be enriched by weekly visits to museums and churches in the city of Florence, where the student will learn the history of art through the works of the great Florentine masters and the historical and social context in which they were produced.

Sculpture and Drawing Course

All the exercises will be oriented to the improvement of the observation, the training of the eye, which will allow the students to interpret the shape in a precise way. The course is divided into three weeks, in which the students will have the first approach to modeling with clay where the student will learn the history of art through the works of the great Florentine masters and the historical and social context in which they were produced.

Jewelry Course

This course offers an introduction to goldsmithing. Students will make three jewels using various metalworking techniques. Drawing, casting, design, construction, engraving, fretwork and wax processing are the basis of every project.

  • Casting, malleability, and ductility of the metal, ring construction
  • Fretwork, fundamentals of engraving, cabochon setting
  • Creation of a jewel designed by the student

Gem setting Course

This course offers an introduction to traditional gem setting techniques, an art that is highly sought after in the job market today, as well as being a skill useful for those who already work as a goldsmither.
